Know exactly what you mean Pam.........and I am in the same boat as
you in regards to Ivan..I am located in lower alabama, about 60
miles as the crow flies from the coast, so most anyplace they have
projected for Ivan is gonna get to us . Opal when she came ashore was
a lot weaker than Ivan is, and we had winds in excess of 100 mph so I
have a gut feeling this is gonna be a lot worse. So far I assume we
are as prepared as we can be, as al;l loose items are secured, lots f
spare gas on hand, as well as propane, batteries and lamp oils, Both
gen sets run fine, so if all my big oaks and pine trees make it and
the roof stays on we will be fine. Wish you and any others in the path
lots of luck and just maybe this storm will drop back to a lesser
catagory, or turn south! ;-)

What you have done and suggested all sounds great.
