Default Starting a veg patch

I'm about to rotovate a 5 x 5m piece of meadow-grassed ground to grow
vegetables, (some of it gets sunshine, some shade - does this matter for
vegetables)? I want to split it into 4 different beds with a view to growing
beans, potatoes and various salad vegetables next summer. In what order
should I rotate the crop varieties and what do I start off with? I dimly
remember Monty Don covering this subject but can't remember

Are there any precautions we can take against rabbits at an early stage eg
hazel hurdles?

Once the ground's been dug, what do I do next? Just leave it until spring
and let winter break the clay down or can I plant it up with something to
improve the soil or even get a crop over winter? I also want to grow
raspberries and am not sure when you plant the bare root canes...
