Default [IBC] Ponderosa Help

In a message dated 9/28/2004 7:36:30 PM Eastern Standard Time,
writes:
My Ponderosa Pine 's needles have a sooty black color starting at the base
toward the tip. The needle usually dies. The tree is now 40% bare. Is this a
fungus caused by the wet weather? Can anything be done to save it? I live in
central Pennsylvania.
If it were my tree, I would spray the Pine with a fungicide. If you can send
me a picture, I can better evaluate the problem.

Cordially,

Michael Persiano
