Yes, I have root access to at least 5 web servers at work, but this is a
'non-work' sort of thing - I don't think they would approve of hosting
littlefrogfarm.com Not that I've asked...

I have been using AffordableHost (www.affordablehost.com) to host the
Northwest Orchid Society site for a few years now. Great service, fast,
and they have a non-profit discount. The reliability is excellent, and
they have a whole package of PHP and database stuff, using the CPanel
interface. Real nice people. They have a lot of different hosting
package options.

I registered the domain at GoDaddy.
