Put the hide of your breakfast grapefruit cupped side down or a
slice of potato down on the media. After dark use the flashlight
to spot them. Most fruit or vegetable peal that is moist will
attract them.

Just remember when you see the snail not to squish them over a
pot or you will disperse fertilized eggs with the squish and with
your fingers. Dispose of the whole critter. It is safer. They
are hermaphrodites (both sexes) and can self fertilize.
