Ah so if I don't see my GF then they aren't hiding. It was warm this past
week and NO ONE showed a fin. Water activated scarecrow is on and egret
hasn't been around. Cat sets off scarecrow. SIGH

so is there a reason then to keep the pond on 24/7 if no fish? water temp
is 50. Claudia

I'd leave it on if you've had an egret visit. When fish get scared they can
hide really well for a long time, especially in cool temps. I completely
cleaned a patio pond down to nothing, refilled and later found the 1 guppy
that was in there. Couldn't find it at all when I was moving the pots
around. ~ jan
