Here in South Florida, arboricola is used by the builders as a hedge. Most
often it's trimmed with power shears. We've got 2 plantings of it. The one
by the driveway I cut with an electric trimmer into a hedge. The other grows
pretty wild and I hand cut with clippers only when it gets too long or
blocks some other plant. They're both very fast growing, drought tolerant
and get a minimal amount of fertilizer.
