To each their own.

I say, long live hybrids, including intergeneric ones! (I just got my Burr
Nelly Isler 'Swiss Beauty' today.)

I prefer hybrids most of the time, species are more likely to be high
maintenance, I think - at least, cochleanthes amazonica and phal bellina are
amongst the least reliable, most frustrating plants in my household.
