"Ralph D." expounded:

But there's houses in the fields, no prayers for steady rain this year,
Houses in the fields, there's houses in the fields,
And the last few farms are growing out of here.

What a sad song (

This is happening bigtime up around our house in southern Maine, the
developers are buying land left and right. When we drive around up
there Hubby is constantly saying "That field used to be full of deer"
or "That used to be a dairy farm". It's inevitable, I guess, but sad
nontheless.
