Seen in a garden catalog a plant(Coleus Canina) is supposed to keep
the
cats/dogs/rabbits out of the garden.

Any one ever use it or have success with it?
Or is this another marketing gimmic?

Nothing, repeat, nothing, will stop a cat fouling your garden if it has
a
mind to. The coleus Canina is not liked by cats, but they will move
three
feet or so away from it and foul there instead. You could carpet your
garden
entirely with it, but who wants that?

Hi Jerome,

With no disrespect to Steve, there are several things you can do to
keep a cat away from your garden. Here's some great ideas.

All of which IMHO are either unsightly, impractical or simply do not work.
Cats either ignore them, dislike them but get over it, or they need
replacing every time it rains etc. ( a big downside in UK)
