Hi Wronp,

Unfortunately I would need to see a larger picture to give better advice, but both the holly and the ivy look like they are suffering drought stress. Have you been having drought conditions?

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
