I've done Pondlets in the house with a
big jar.

Gravel, anacharis, pond water, aquatic
frog, aquatic snails and an aquatic leech. All sorts of interesting
stuff comes in with the pond water.
Once I found a tiny hydra stuck to the side
of the glass.
