had a look at the lonicera tellimania (sp?) yesterday and some of the
new shoots seem to be curling slightly and you can see yellow veins in
the leaves. remember seeing it last year, and it caused lots of flowers
to drop off before opening so pruned what i thought were infected parts
out

thought it could be something to do with the soil as its very acidic,
but on reading up could only hypothesise thats its mildew problems.
doubt its lack of water although it could be something to do with the
ground underneath being stoney in places

anyone know what it could be and how to solve it

Tellmaniana is very badly effected by aphids if it gets them, they make the
shoot tips curl up and distort, it also is one of the worst honeysuckles for
mildew which can also damage foliage but I suspect its a little early for
that!
Try spraying with whatever you use on aphids (soapy water, insecticide etc)
and make sure it does not dry out.
