Default [IBC] maples roots

Marty Haber wrote:

What you are describing is true. There is an early burst of growth in
Spring, then a quiet period, then more growth when the weather cools;
but the second growth is much less prolific than the early one.
It's best to transplant them in Spring when the buds grow fat, but
before they open.

Hi
I found some information in the files of Brent Walston
http://www.evergreengardenworks.com/rootprsd.htm
in fact roots grow in september if the temp is above 55 + F
It was not about transplanting , I was trying to know if it was
possible to stimulatre trunk and roots growth by cutting a normal
time in spring and a little trim again in the period in between the
first and second growth
thanks
