The lillys I posted about which the wife picked up at the local
military base exchange already has 2 or more leaves on the surface.
Don;t know what goives, but they seem to have grown brom a bare root
cutting almost overnight.Even the lillys I planted last year in mid
summer in nice warm water and lots of sun took a lot longer to
surface.....

And speaking of lillys, I am either gonna be inundated with them this
year, be totally covered up or very dissa pointed........I dug up a
large amount of roots or whatever they are called, in a natural bog
that the owner gave me permission to get, as its slated to get drained
and filed in this year........In addition to numerous other plants,
the lilys were top of my list to get. I wound up with better thn 75
cuttings each with growth showing, so I guess I will have to wait and
see if I did it right. I have them planted all around the ponds
circumference from abut 3 or 4 feet from the shoreline out to about 3
to 4 feet deep. SOme of the lillys I got were in water about 4 feet
deep. They are spaced between 6 and 8 feet apart, so esentially most
of the circumference for a good width should be covered with lillys.
Gonna give the phytoplankton a run for its money this year.
