I love lily of the valley. Several times ove the alst few years, I have
bought bulbs and planted them in vaious positions in the garden. Nomally
were it is shaded. They never grow even when other stuff aound them
thrives.
Also lavender, which I adore.Grows for a year or two, then gives up the
ghost.
Fatsia - which I love, but they just don't do well
and Gaillardia. I've tried at least three years running without success :~(
Winter aconite. I blame slugs

Yep, can't grow them either :~(

Its growing chives from seed for me - I've tried in lots of gardens over the years, from Scotland down to south west France - still no luck. I've read they like to germinate in warmth, then grow somewhere cool, so I'm giving it one more try this year. Watch this space!!
