Default [IBC] American Red Maple

I tend to agree with Anita, but if you want to try one, you would be better
off with a collected one. I have one I have been fighting with since 1991, and
it is only beginning to look like something. In my experience, it does not bud
back easily on the lower trunk. However, if allowed to run loose, it will
give you some long stringy twigs suitable for thread grafting. I am planning to
do this.
