Man, if only alders made good bonsais, I'd be the king of bonsai land.
We have a couple of (I think) sugar maples around, but they're way too
big to bonsai.

I am trying to air layer a huckleberry that's growing in the ravine
next to my house. If I can pull it off it will be a cool iliterati
bonsai, but from what I can find it's really hard to grow
huckleberries.
