The main factor of safe water temperatures is the level of metabolism and
immune system in fish. at 12-14°C the fish metabolism slows down and their
immune system slows down as well, so anything above this would be 'safe'.

can i put them in or should i wait?

Another thing to remember is that most pond fish will accept almost any
temperature as long as the temperature is stable, ie. doesn't change to
much, it's the changes that kill not stability (within reasons of course)

I'd say if the temperature is already 15°C in your pond and doesn't drop
below at night / early mornings then wait a couple of days and let them
loose...

If you could slowly lower the temperature of the indoor pond to meet the
15°C temperature then the transtition chock should be minimal, just remember
that they eat less when colder and that the ponds bio filter will be
sleaping / mostly dead, so if you could move the indoor filter with the
fishes then you shouldn't have any issues at all...


If in doubt, wait a few weeks to see if the temperatures are stable and then
let them loose...
