As we have children, anything that attracts bees & wasps is a no
go!

You may not realise that you are posting to the uk.rec.gardening
(urg) newsgroup, and not a part of 'gardenbanter'.

So 'addition to the last thread posted' is not a very helpful
heading, since there is no guarantee that what you see as the

last
thread is in fact the last thread on urg.

Good point....Can I ask a question? Would it have been a good idea
to change the subject line..?

Not particularly. The OP wouldn't recognise the new subject, and I

was
aiming their comment purely at them.

The Usenet convention I find most useful in this situation is to put
in the subject line Clue to subject of sub-thread [Was: Old
header]. I think most newsreaders recognize the square brackets and
"Was" as signals to place the sub-thread correctly.
