Well, what do you expect in the subtropics? :-)

Boggle. I didn't know that the shoots would grow 15' without an
intermediate layer. I cut mine back to the ground last autumn,
because it had become fairly impenetrable - it has started flowering
and the flowers are sparser but more visible.
