I have a bunch of these lights left over from a work project:
http://www.durotest.com/fluor.vitalite.html
Actually the ones I have might be different but made to the same specs. I
have to check the box. Anyway, it says that they simulate daylight with a
temp at 5500K. How does this jive with lighting conditions for aquariums
(growing plants, that is)? I know it is complicated, but I see a lot of
people talking about 6500K and so on. Are "daylight" bulbs not the right
thing for a tank?
thanks,
