The point of my post is that a guy came to look at it yesterday and quoted
£100, I think that is a bit much or am I out of touch with prices.


I would have said that was extortionate - unless he was using nail scissors.

Pay him the £100, issue him with the said nail scissors, and have a
"watch the gardener" party.

Perhaps it was £100 for the season?
