I wouldn't bother shredding stuff like that, just bung it straight on
the heap as is. Daffodil leaves especially should be hardly worth
while picking up anyway.

My Bosch isn't too great on the softer stuff like hedge trimmings,
those get spread on the lawn and mowed.
