Sounds like slugs, Gary. Since it's a shohin, you might want to remove the
soil, wash the roots, and repot.

Subject: [IBC] Little Bugs In Soil

I have been noticing in the past few days very very small snail-like trials
on the moss of my
favorite oak shohin bonsai and also an occasional very small bug surfacing
and then going back
down in the soil. Is there something that's safe for my bonsai that will
get rid of pests that inhabit
the soil? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also I have noticed that people put in a sunset number along with the
zone. Where can we find out
what our sunset number is?
