Thanks for that, I have looked it up, the plant shown in the link the
leaves
are the same shape, but it appears to differ in height, this one only being
15" tall and the flower is only 1" in diameter. Will there be different
varieties of the said opium poppy?


It depends very much on the soil. I've seen them growing on very poor
soil, and they've been 'orrid and weedy, about four inches high and with
a flower less than half an inch across.
