Given the rather "uncertain" state of the health of the plant itself, I
suggest you cut the flower spike all the way down to prevent it from
spending energy trying to make secondary branches -- assuming you think the
plant is salvageable and want to put in the effort.
I say uncertain because clear, non-smelly liquid coming out of that type of
"soggy" leaf is a new one on me. Sorry, but I have absolutely no idea ...
