It appears that some Myrtle Crapes are brighter or more colorful

appear to be deeper red than others. Some pink ones seem to be
brighter pink than others. Am I seeing things clearly, and there
are indeed different shades of colors? Can I control the shade of
the color with watering, fertilizer, etc.?
If so, how do I produce deeper/brighter colors?

Crape myrtles come in different named varieties. To get a different
color, you'll have to plant a different variety.

I think I failed to make my point/question clear.
I know about different varieties that produce different colors.
I have several varieties - red, pink, and white.
Is it possible to make red flowers bloom even redder?
Pink flowers even brighter pink?
Or is it impossible to control/change the shade of a given color?
It seems like some red MC's in my neighborhood bloom redder than
others. Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

Sorry, didn't mean to treat you like a dumbo. You got a better answer
than mine later in the thread.
