OK, now, before we panic... :-) What's the problem with celery taking over
the whole lawn (it hasn't happened to me, so maybe there _is_ a problem,
but keep an open mind!)? Sure, you might have wanted those herbs, but I'm
sure you can plant them somewhere else. Meanwhile, you could end up with a
perfect no-cut ground cover.
