Do you have fish in the pond?
They eat the mosquito larvae.

Or if your water is really moving, the
larvae drown.

On the other hand...
I'd do an experiment.
I love to do this kind of stuff.... Put out a container
of water, see if you get some mosquito
larvae in there and add the crumble
and see what happens!! Report back
with results.
