Default Eye cloud/cataract for comet

I have been treating an 8" comet goldfish for a white cataract condition
on one eye only( she is healthy otherwise ).
I removed her from the pond and have been treating her with triple sulfa
(332 Sod sulfahiazole , 84 sodium sulfamethazine and 84 sodium
sulfacetamide) for 12 days now. The condition is not any better.

Can this be a permanent condition like a cataract since it is not eyecloud ?
Is there some other condition which looks like this and what is the treatment?

With vision in one eye, she would still be OK in the pond anyway and just
bottom feed.
I used the sick fish research site and that is how I came up with this
treatment, the local fish place agreed.
My pond is 850gal andhas ten oter healthy fish.
Many thanks for any advice.
