at the intake of the pump to spread it around. How do other people deal

this when you use city water?

I use a garden or greenhouse water wand to top up our ponds. I don't use a
dechlorinator unless I'm replacing maybe 25% of the water, or more. Our
Water Company doesn't use a lot of chlorine in the water.
