Mostly females, all are black barred, and look a lot like a Dominicker. All
are feathered enough to be ready to move into a SECURE outside pen.
These are the surplus youngsters from a rare-breed specialist. This breed
lays brown eggs.
The breed is French Marans, which was developed in the 1800s as a dual
purpose breed. The spare males are great for the table, the hens lay brown
eggs that are very large, and darker brown than ordinary brown eggs.
