I have a McCulloch petrol hedge cutter but would like a cordless one to do

Can anyone recommend one?

Not really. The B&Q one my mother-in-law had lasted only about a season
and had very limited cutting power or battery life. It spent far too
long charging and ran for very little time on each charge. The battery
made it heavier than a proper industrial strength hedge trimmer.

I was looking in B&Q at the Black and Decker and Bosch ones.

I'd go for a petrol or mains powered one or a decent pair of hand
shears. The noise of any mechanical hedge trimmer is pretty bad.
