I like to slice it into a skillet with about 1/4 inch of oil and fry it with
the appropriate seasoning and onions, and then when it is about done, add
hot dogs, cooked pork or spare ribs, and turn the fire down. Then I simmer
it for anther 20 minutes or so.

If you can do a Hot Water Bath, you can also make sauerkraut and can it. I
have a great recipe that results in a good flavored sauerkraut rather than
the stuff you buy in a can. If you are interested in it, contact me direct.
