hi, have some non glazed pots that i would like moss etc, to grow
on so that they look weathered.

someone suggested live yoghurt. any other suggestions please?

thanks

I've heard pee mentioned. Never tried it myself. You could try

both!

No need for anything so dramatic, but it wouldn't hurt: the yogurt
needs to be diluted to milk consistency before you paint it on. So,
heck, just use milk. Or wait: they'll mature pretty well if you just
leave them alone. All you do with the milk/yogurt/whatever is speed
it up by a few months.

Your biggest worry is frost. A crack down the side won't stop it
functioning as a plant-container, but makes watering a pain. A liner
of thin poly (not across the bottom) and a copper wire tie round the
outside will usually solve that.
