There's only one that is reliably hardy and evergreen in the UK:
C. armandii. If it likes the conditions, it can be very vigorous
indeed - much more so than ivy.

I think you may be better choosing something like Euonymus fortunii its a
much better evergreen, Clematis, even the hardiest of the evergreens are not
strictly evergreen but wintergreen and they tend to change their leaves in
summer and can look a mess, they are all also huge and rampant plants if
happy (dead if not!)
Don't get me wrong I love clematis, think they are wonderful plants but
foliage and screening is something better done by other plants.
