Judging by the one growing out of my back door frame all you'd need to do is
pick most of the pulp off the seeds and sow shallowly in gritty compost.

I don't know how true they breed though and I guess you might want a
cultivar more suited to the UK - in Bristol there are several huge self-sown
fig trees by the river, but I don't think they bear viable fruit ....
