Ivy and trees
"...
Would I be right in thinking that if ivy is left to grow up the trunk
of a
tree that it will eventually kill off the tree.Thanks in advance for
answers
to this.

Ivy is unsightly covering a tree but does no harm. On stone work or
wood it can be a problem.
