Default pump off or on?

CArol has no clue as to what the weather or winter conditions in the
UK are like yet she can not resist theurge to make a post so it looks
like she knows somehting, but what she said means nothing at all
because it never answered the original question......just the urge to
post,, so she can try and drum up a few new gulible folks and see if
they wanna be her new found friends.

===## That would depend on the climate you live in. Here in the USA, zone 6,
===people shut the pumps off so the water can go through it's conversion. The
===warmer water drops to the bottom where the fish spend the winter months. A
===running pump can stop that from happening. Also the fish, in a state of
===hibernation, don't need to be fighting a current. Just keep a hole open in
===the ice.

===## I don't use Green Genie so can't make any suggestions there.......
