Diesel - the issue will be what the ground temps are, not the air temps, so
you should kind of hurry.

Remember fescue takes 10-14 days to germinate

No problem with reseeding

The other key thing is ONCE IT IS WET the seed needs to stay wet, not
drenched in water.

Seed
cover with straw
Keep damp

You could spray with water maybe once a day for 5-10 minutes at most and the
seeds will germinate, the straw helps keep the moisture near the ground.

Dont forget to read the seed bag and dont buy a seed bag older then 90 days.

Are the small percentage of remaining seeds likely to germinate at this
point? Once the leaves are down (and removed) in another week or so, is
there any benefit to re-seed this late?
