polycarbonate dome which you hang above or below a bird feeder. Not
sure it works with tulips ....

Many years ago, my father-in-law nailed aluminium sheeting round the edges
of his bird table (to a depth of about 1 foot). This certainly stopped the
squirrels getting to the bird feed
