Default External pump housing suggestions

A Rubbermaid tote makes a good house: you can cut your inlet/outlet holes
easily, and it has a nice little lid that you can put back on to secure it
against rain. Suggestion: when you're using your hole saw to cut the
in/outlets, cut some extra holes on the bottom to let seepage out. You just
KNOW it's gonna leak at one time or another ! If you can dig a few extra
inches below the box bottom and fill it (the hole) with gravel, it will
allow free drainage. I've even seen variations where the entire bottom is
cut out, and the pump just sits on several inches/feet of gravel. You won't
be able to stand on it or anything like that, but it will work nicely and
can be disguised.

Have fun!

What do you use or recommend for housing an external pump? My space is
somewhat limited (3 x 5 ft.) and I want to have it below water level.
