Default What to do with leggy seedlings

I sowed some chilli seeds last Monday and left them over the weekend in a
heated propogator while I was away. I've returned today to find that they
have all sprouted but are looking a bit leggy.
I've switched off the heat and will gradually remove the cover to try and
slow down the growth and will keep them as close to the window as possible.
Is there anything else I can do to help their survival ? I was thinking of
potting them on but planting them pretty deep so only the top sticks out of
the soil, will this help ?

You've more or less done all you can to offset the efects of having
started them off too early. Give them some stem support and all the
light you can - and be prepared to re-sow in 2-3 weeks time.
