Default Den nobile varieties?

My nobile is thin at the base but closer to cigar-size for the upper half of
the pseudobulb. If one of your plants is as thin as a pencil all the way
along the pseudobulb then that one is probably a different species.

I don't think so. It came from an expert at the US Botanical Gardens.
Also, I've seen lots of the ones in the stores that have the cigar sized
canes that are labled nobile.

I have parishii and the flowers are different too.

I have two different plants that have a tag that says nobile on them.

The
first one has thin canes about the size of a pencil that has three

flowers
per very short stem. The second is fat like a cigar that has single

flowers
along the stem.

Are these just variation of the same species?

Could the second one be D. parishii?
