~ Hi ther, I found a box of spring bulbs in my father's shed and was
~ wondering if it is too late to plant them now for an April blooming ?
~ Would 4 months enough time if we have frost free weather ?

~Well, it can't do any harm. Some may not bloom this year, others may be
~a bit late, but usually, they catch up and flower only a few days later

~(I had some scillas and grape hyacinths in June last year for a similar
~reason.)

I'm just planting a mislaid-and-found bag of 100 narcissus
Tete-a-tete! They are early ones but I expect them to actually flower
this year with the lates and I'd already planted one bag at the proper
time. Quite fun, really, since they're so neat, to have them flower at
two different times!

Don't part with your illusions. When they are gone,
you may still exist but you have ceased to live.

Yep, they'll bloom at different times this year, and next year they'll
settle in and bloom when they're supposed to! (I love Samuel Clemmons too
