Default Something living and eating my Staghorn- how to treat?

thanks everyone, i got out there last night with a torch and noticed the
wriggly end of a white catapiller type beastie, poked in the hole a few
times with a shish kebab stick (the things we gardeners do) and tried to
kill it, but just went out and checked the overnight activity and its seems
as though i have missed him!

I think ill have to keep going out there at night and time my strike.....or
maybe some surface spray heheh

i cant believe something so small can rip the poor stag apart ......

or you could try not to kill it with poison and propagate a new fern or
three.... then everyone can be happy, well fed and not dead for nothing

Hi to all

I have a staghorn that has what appears to be a borer....sawdust type

bits
and pieces at the base of the fronds, but also has about 1cm size bits

of
the fronds that have been cut and dragged towards the base of the
fronds

,
loosley stuck together with some web type material... What do i have?
Is

it
a borer? Anyone know how to treat?

Probably a staghorn beetle.

Yep that's it. Standard insecticide sprays will work.
