We used bark for our children's play area - we couldn't find anyone who
supplied smallish quantities loose (although some of the timber yards do)
so
bought the biggest bags we coud from B&Q and it has been fine. We just
buy
a new bag every year to top it up.

The smallest "bulk" delivery I could find was a 1 cubic metre bag for about
30 quid -- obviously prices will vary a lot accross the country.
