Default Pressurized Pond Filter anyone?

is there any reason for me not to go for a bigger model than the 500?
i only plan on using a 550 gph pump for now, but in the mean time
will a smaller pump running on a bigger bioforce pressurized pond
filter cause any harm?

Having owned a Cyprio Bioforce 500 and a 1000, I can tell you both will
likely plug far too often. The 1000 uses the same filter rings as the 500,
except that there is room for a third ring (vertical depth) and bioballs.
The 1000 will give you better bio-filtration (bio balls), but not better
mechanical filtration, as the surface area of the initial foam filter is the
same. So the foam filters will likey plug at the same rate for both models.
