Yep. Last summer was especially bad, with
high heat and sun almost without break. I
did so much less in the yard this summer than
usual (of course, getting older is part of it).

Fortunately nothing much seems to bother
the ponds, but I have them all shaded - enough
to keep the water from overheating and reduce
algae, but letting enough light in for healthy
plant growth.
